As we begin our new fraternal year, I am honored and humbled to serve as your new Faithful Navigator. Our assembly is active and strong and we continue to build on the goals of supporting the order, our country, our faith and honoring our service to the community.
I want to start off with a little bit about myself. I’ve only been a member of the Fourth Degree for little over two years, I quickly discovered that when you attend all the meetings, it’s easy to get moved up the ladder quickly.
My wife and I live in on the Indianapolis side of Geist with our 19-month-old son David. I work for WISH-TV as the New Media Director and currently a member of Council #9706 at Our Lady of Grace.
I’m proud to be leading a strong and vibrant assembly, with over 170 active members across seven councils and nine parishes. But our success doesn’t come without support of our membership. Our events don’t require much time commitment, just an hour or two every couple of months.
At the least, I hope you’ll consider attending a business meeting when we meet at your local council or parish. This year, we’ve added St. John Vianney to our meeting locations, and will be visiting there in September.
We will be holding officer installation on Thursday, July 28th at 7 p.m. The location is still TBD, I’m awaiting word from the Lawrence Assembly if they would like to join us for a joint event. My goal is to allow the Master to make one less trip up to Indianapolis.
Over the past couple of years, our Assembly have developed two outstanding programs: The Chalice Committee and Flag Programs.
Our Flag Program has evolved to the point where we need to build a second presentation team. The program has also gained attention across the state, including a presentation at the Indiana State Convention in May.
To continuing building on this success, I’ve asked our Chalice & Flag Program committee chairman to work up amendments to our Assembly by-laws to make them standing committees.
Also, I’ll be hitting the recruitment trail over the next year. It is my goal to visit each council and encourage our younger Knights to join the ranks of the Fourth Degree.
I hope that all Sir Knights seriously consider making the investment in regalia and joining the ranks of our Honor Guard. We are fortunate to have a Commander who is so devoted and passionate to making sure we have a Honor Guard that is well trained and ready to serve.

Finally, thank you in advance for your prayers and support of our assembly. Without it we wouldn’t be where we are today.
Faithfully Yours,
SK Jason Crundwell, FN
